Team skirmishes with spells, steel, and class-based tactics

Combat Magic turns medieval warfare into compact, player-versus-player clashes where coordination matters as much as aim. Two small armies square off with one clear objective: cut through defenders and eliminate the opposing king, who usually stays tucked inside the enemy base. Matches support up to eight participants, keeping fights readable while still chaotic enough to reward teamwork and timing.

You choose from three distinct roles: warrior, archer, or sage. Each class brings its own toolkit, and the game lets you tailor your build to suit your approach. Loadouts are flexible too, with a sizable selection of melee and ranged weapons. Cosmetic tweaks round out the customization, so you can shape both performance and appearance before stepping onto the field.

Controls are straightforward. A virtual stick on the left handles movement, while action buttons on the right allow jumping, dodging, blocking, and attacking. You can swap weapons mid-battle to adapt to shifting threats. Unfortunately, the sword-and-sorcery fantasy loses some impact in the moment-to-moment feel. Combat often comes off as stiff, and input inconsistency can lead to mistimed swings or your attacks glancing off the environment instead of the enemy. Visuals do not help much either, with weak presentation that undersells the otherwise appealing premise.

There is an engaging idea at the core: tight arenas, defined roles, and a hunt for the enemy king that naturally pushes teams together. If you value loadout depth and simple class variety, there is fun to be had in short bouts. However, players looking for crisp hit feedback and polished animations may find the rough edges hard to ignore. With sharper controls and a visual refresh, Combat Magic could rise from decent diversion to reliable go-to skirmisher.

Pros:

- Supports up to eight players

- Good premise built around king-target battles

- Large armory with melee and ranged options

- Wide character customization options

Cons:

- Poor graphics that mute the action

- Clunky controls with input hiccups

- Stiff combat that dulls class identity
