Level layouts remain resolutely non-linear, with routes that branch and loop, encouraging you to learn the space rather than follow a single corridor. The pacing leans into relentless encounters, a hallmark of the original design that still hits hard.

The trade-offs mostly stem from the interface and hardware. On-screen controls can feel sluggish during intense waves, which makes precise strafing and quick weapon swaps harder than they should be. Additionally, the game can run slowly on some devices, affecting responsiveness at busy moments.
