Its primary tool relies on a magnetometer. If your device includes a magnetic sensor, the app can read nearby magnetic activity to spot patterns consistent with camera hardware. Hold your device close to likely hiding places, such as bathroom fixtures, plant pots, mirror surfaces, or anything that resembles a small lens. When the readings suggest a match, the app emits a beep and triggers an alert, letting you know it is time to take a closer look.

There is also guidance for finding the best detection spot on your device. To pinpoint where your sensor is, keep the scanner open and pass a camera along the top and bottom edges of your phone. The moment the app beeps, you have located the magnetometer’s most responsive area, which helps you aim more precisely during checks.

Beyond magnetic scanning, the app includes an infrared detector. Open this view and sweep around the room while watching your screen for bright white points or glow that you would not see with the naked eye. That white light indicates infrared emission, which can be associated with night-vision cameras. A built-in luminescence effect enhances what you see on the display, making IR sources easier to spot than with a standard camera alone.

There is a clear caveat: the magnetic scanning feature depends on having a magnetometer, so devices without one cannot use that part. Still, with both magnetic and IR tools on board, this app offers a practical way to investigate suspicious objects and surfaces when privacy matters.
